Browsing and analytics

Public browsing does not require an account. The site uses random visitor and session identifiers to understand page and image views, searches, sharing, campaign visits, survey responses, and reliability. These identifiers are pseudonymous and are stored in your browser and with the related events; the site's product measurement does not store your raw IP address.

We also operate a self-hosted Umami analytics service. It receives information such as the page URL and query parameters, referrer, browser and device type, language, screen size, and approximate country. Umami does not use analytics cookies or store raw IP addresses.

We use Google Analytics for optional visit measurement. Where an opt-in is required, it is not loaded unless you choose Help improve; choosing Not now does not affect browsing. Its advertising-related storage remains disabled.

Reports and form protection

If you submit a copyright or serious-content report, we collect the form details and contact information relevant to that request. We also keep a keyed hash derived from the submitting IP address, the user agent, the Turnstile result, and operational records needed to prevent abuse and handle the request.

Cloudflare Turnstile processes browser and network signals when it verifies a form submission.

Browser storage and service providers

Cookies and browser storage remember essential or requested features such as session state, Safe Mode, the opening sequence, survey status, browsing progress, and a choice about optional measurement where one is shown. Saved images, recently viewed images, Hide seen, and Continue browsing are kept in this browser only. You can clear saved images and recently viewed history from Your images, change Hide seen at any time, or remove browser data through your browser's site-data controls.

The archive uses Cloudflare infrastructure for hosting, data and image storage, email delivery, security, and form verification. We do not sell personal information or use it for targeted advertising.

Retention and your choices

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate and secure the archive, understand its use, handle reports, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Report, security, and audit records may be retained longer where a request or claim remains relevant; data is deleted or anonymized when it is no longer needed.

You may ask to access, correct, or delete personal information associated with you, subject to applicable legal and security exceptions.
